Friends of Northside runs events all year long, from open houses and fundraisers to parent gatherings and school traditions. Every one of them depends on parent volunteers.

Want to promote Northside? Open House is the day to represent our amazing school and help recruit the next generation. Middle school students and their families tour the building, meet teachers and current Mustangs, and learn what makes a Northside education distinctive, from the honors and AP curriculum to Colloquium, athletics, and the arts.

An evening of games in Northside's own backyard, celebrating our student athletes. Volleyball, pickleball, cornhole, food off the grill, the NCP Poms, and Marty the Mustang. No tickets needed, and every dollar raised supports Mustang athletics.

A new community race bringing together students, families, alumni, faculty, and neighbors for a morning of fitness and school spirit. Run it, walk it, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines. The course starts at Northside and follows the river.

Our premier fundraising event and an evening celebrating the Northside community. Guests enjoy dinner, entertainment, and auctions, and invest in programs that benefit every student.

One of Northside's most beloved traditions. The entire student body walks five miles from campus to Wrigley Field, raising pledges that support classroom resources, technology, athletics, books, and more.

A standing invitation to connect with other Northside families and with school leadership. We host one gathering a quarter, two in the morning and two in the evening so every schedule gets a turn, and members of the administration attend so you can ask your questions directly.

Our teachers and staff make Northside exceptional. Across the year we host meals, events, and recognition activities to thank them for their dedication, and your support helps us celebrate the educators who make a difference every day.
You do not need to chair an event or commit to a year. Most of these run on parents who give a couple of hours on the day. Tell us which events interest you and we will be in touch when help is needed.
